Coalition Ditches Mansion Tax.

As the latest YouGuv survey shows that LibDem support has collapsed, Nick Clegg has signalled that his election promise of a mansion tax has been abandoned. We asked a Tory coalition minister for the reasons why; "Both David Cameron and George Osborne own houses in London that are worth over £2 million and would have been subject to the tax - so why do you think its been dropped? Eric Pickles did a fantastic job of muddying the waters by pretending that "middle class families" would be hit by the tax as well. Utter rubbish I know, but very effective when dealing with the thicko voters in this country. I feel sorry for Nick Clegg to be honest - caught as he is between doing the right thing or ditching his principles and keeping his job. Still the rich and greedy remain in charge and that's the main thing. If we need more money we'll take it off the cripples, the unemployed or whoever else can't fight back."
