Fox Subjected To Parliamentary Love In.
Liam Fox was subjected today to a fierce "love in" from both sides of the House of Commons as accusation and counter-accusation failed to fly across the House. "Would the Right Honourable Gentleman like to tell us how wonderful he is," the Tories asked. "Would the opposition like to explain why they also took money from an American arms lobbying group - a fact that we managed to dig up at the last minute despite it being known for years?" Labour rose immediately to the challenge, sending in the "B" tean since Ed Milliband and Ed Balls were conspicously absent from the chamber (as was David Cameron and George Osborne); "Would the Right Honourable Gentelman like to take the opportunity to tell us why he's such a decent man? Would he also like to explain why he tells his friends and family where he's likely to be?" We asked our politics editor for his view; "They might just as well have kept their seats and drunk champagne at us. They're all bent - taking whatever they can get from whoever - and have no intention of seriously embarassing each other."
