Nick Clegg Signals Curbs On Executive Pay

Nick Clegg, pictured above looking determined, has promised to "get tough" on executive pay. We asked one of his Tory colleagues for his reaction; (There was a pause here while he laughed out loud) "Get tough? Oh yes, we do intend to do something about executive pay. This year they have increased by 50% and we in the Tory party will not rest until that figure is at least 100%. We've allowed Nick to witter on to divert attention but after commissioning a report, debating it in parliament and then tabling endless ammendments we'll be at the next general election and, after we win that outright, the idea will disappear from sight. We're far more interested in getting tough with the people we've thrown out of work at the moment to worry about this nonsense. It's business as usual as far as we're concerned and, let's face it, we're all millionaires so whatever happens to the economy is of no concern to us. The most important thing is to relive the 1980's when we showed the working scum in this country what government is really all about."
