Margaret Thatcher's Private Secretary Distressed by Film She Hasn't Seen Yet.

A film about the life of Margaret Thatcher, arguably the most insane Prime Minister of Britain in the 20th century, has been criticised by her private secretary despite the fact that she hasn't seen it yet. The contoversy centres on scenes that show the former PM as senile. We asked the a source close to Thatcher for his view; "Lady Thatcher was, of course, born senile but that's no excuse for showing her incipient insanity on the big screen. We feel that the woman who utterly destroyed British society, presided over the longest period of high unemployment in this country's history and closed down almost all of its industry deserves a film that shows her in an unrealistic light. We were concerned when we heard that Meryl Streep was the play the Blessed Margaret - we thought she should have been played by Scarlett Johansson or a digitally reanimated Marilyn Monroe. What we really wanted was a film depicting Margaret taking back the Falkland Islands single-handidly - possibly played by Bruce Willis in a wig. Fortunately Margaret herself is so far gone now that she doesn't even know who she is let alone who's playing her in the film."
