A bank robber in Walchum, Germany, failed to carry out a robbery because the bank had been closed down. Labeled by the authorities as "Germany's most stupid bank robber," we asked a leading German banker for his view; "He thoroughly deserves the title of Germany's most stupid bank robber and, as such, we are very keen to recruit him when he gets out of prison. He has all the qualities we look for in a senior executive - he's stupid, greedy and bone idle. What we don't understand is why he's never considered a career in banking, which would have been a much better way to steal than picking up a gun. I understand that several political parties are interested in recruiting him as well but we in the banking industry believe we can make him an offer he can't refuse."
