Serco And G4S Too Crooked Even For The Tories.

The Tory party has had to shelve its plans to privatise the prison service because the two preferred companies for the lucrative million pound deals are too bent to take them up. Both Serco and G4S - (you remember G4S, the company that failed to fulfil its contract to provide security at the Olympics but was paid out of taxpayers money anyway) - are being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office because they've been committing some pretty serious frauds. Apparently they've been charging us, the taxpayer, for tagging criminals who were dead, already in prison or never actually existed at all. Even the Tories would have a hard time explaining why they would shovel taxpayers money into the pockets of a bunch of crooks - well, more taxpayers money that is. We asked a party spokesman for the Tory view of all this; "This is absolutely scandalous," the spokesman told us. "Why, because the two companies are so corrupt?" our reporter asked. "No, because the silly arses were found out so easily. We simply cannot be seen to be dealing with such incompetents. Failing to fulfil a contract but being paid anyway is one thing, but getting caught deliberately defrauding the public purse is another. How many times must we tell these people, if you're going to be as corrupt as we want you to be then at least be clever enough to hide it from the plebs. They should have asked for out advice - we've been pulling the wool over the eyes of the electorate for over 100 years. I suppose now we'll just have to privatise something else."

The Great NHS Free For All.

The bad news about the NHS just kept rolling in today. First the "Mirror" revealed that Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary, is pocketing nearly a million pounds a year made up of his government salary and his various "business" interests. This, presumably, is now set to increase as he receives lucrative bribes from the healthcare sharks circling the NHS. Meanwhile Serco, the private company that took over the NHS's biggest pathology laboratories, have proven to be so inept that they made over 400 clinical errors in 2011 alone while London hospitals were forced to lend them taxpayers money to prevent them from going bust. If this further example of privatised profits and nationalised business debt isn't bad enough, then the latest round of contracts being handed out to private healthcare providers is enough to make your hair stand on end. Almost 400 NHS services, worth a quarter of billion pounds, are being literally given away to private companies with a further three quarters of a billion pounds worth of contracts up for grabs next year. Tonight the BBC televised a programme entitled "Britain's Secret Health Tourists" which outlined how the NHS is being defrauded out of millions by criminals and corrupt healthcare professionals. In one instance the practice manager of the Sparkbrook Health Centre in Birmingham was shown pocketing thousands of pounds to register foreign nationals with a doctor and allow them unfettered access to the NHS. This is disturbing enough, but health minister Anna Soubry's reaction was nothing short of disgraceful. Challenged as to what the government will do about this all she could say was that it is "complicated." The smirk on her face said it all. What does such fraud matter when the NHS is about to be privatised anyway and all the money that was once finding its way into the pockets of criminals and corrupt healthcare professionals will soon be finding its way into the pockets of Tory MP's and their "donators"?

Tories Contine Campaign Of Thievery.

Under the cover offered by the Olympics the Tories are putting their campaign to steal the country from its real owners up a gear. Serco, a leading private enterprise company that has interests in anything where there's money for old rope and has a global income of £4 billion, is bidding for several lucrative contracts made available by Cameron's "Big Society." Originally pitched as a means for charities to take over the functions of the state, the "Big Society" has now morphed into an opportunity for private companies to pocket taxpayer's money for doing as little as possible. Serco is particularly interested in the "National Citizen Service" - a kind of national service which will have young people doing work for nothing. Serco are quite understandbly slavering over the prospect of contracts that will return millions while having to pay absolutely nothing in terms of wages. Such a deal is a cost-cutters wet dream. Meanwhile real charities, who lack the resources of multi-million pound international corporations, are being elbowed aside. The Tories have also managed to side-step a possibly limiting factor when it comes to the sale of the NHS. They have put to one side the requirement for those holding top positions in the NHS to be "fit and proper persons." Learning from their mistake over Rupert Murdoch, who now hasn't a cat in hell's chance of getting his gubby fingers on the rest of BSkyB, they have effectively opened the door for the known criminals who generally operate multi-national companies. The regulator charged with overseeing this theft of our greatest national asset has, in addition, been told to conduct themselves with a "light touch" and rely on "self-certification." In other words the NHS will be opened to the predatory attentions of various criminal elements who will be able to regulate themselves. Well, since it worked so well with the banks, why not?
